From Idea to High-Quality Privacy Shield
As passionate offroad campers, we spent a long time searching in vain for functional window mats for our model.
We painstakingly pieced together parts and components from various suppliers and adapted them to our offroader – but we were never satisfied with the results.
Something was always wrong: the mats broke quickly, lost their shape, didn’t really protect against cold and heat, or the materials didn’t appeal to us or feel comfortable to the touch.
Initial Feedback
On the road at camper meetups, Land Cruiser gatherings, and offroad festivals, we were approached countless times about the rugged protective mats that couldn’t be bought anywhere. Everyone who experienced the effectiveness of our own development was quickly convinced. While others couldn’t stand the heat in their overheated vehicles, we had the doors closed from the inside and stayed comfortably cool.
Blickdicht Manufaktur
From this experience and due to high demand, the idea of Blickdicht Manufaktur was born. For the BlidimaX® protective mat, we made further improvements to guarantee you premium quality and attention to detail.
Today, we are proud to craft an authentic, honest quality product for your and our world of offroad and camper vans—one that meets all functional requirements while also delivering tactile and visual pleasure.

this is our story
It all started with a Toyota Land Cruiser HZJ78 and the desire for more privacy on our offroad adventures. After many hours of tinkering and sewing, BlidimaX® was born: window mats that not only fit perfectly but also protect against heat and cold. We know how important it is to have a cozy and functional home on the road – that’s why we developed BlidimaX®.

Company founded as a side business with production in our own home
2016
We successfully participate in our first trade fairs. Space becomes tight in the apartment, deliveries and exciting customer vehicles create curiosity and bustle in the neighborhood. What started as a side business has become a full-time job.
2017
Relocation to Büdericher Str. 26, 41460 Neuss – finally, all production areas have their own dedicated space.
2019
Anja Börner becomes the new Managing Director of BlidimaX®.
As co-founder, she knows Blickdicht Manufaktur GmbH like the back of her hand and will continue leading BlidimaX® with great passion and a strong team.
2020
Our gift for the 5th anniversary: a new digital ordering process for even more convenience!
With our new production tool, you can order your custom BlidimaX® mats even more easily. Our new digital order form ensures a transparent process and keeps you informed at every step of the ordering journey.

BlidimaX®carbody – DIY installation for more comfort on the road.
We are once again offering our popular, custom-made insulation kits for the rear door area. Delivered with mounting materials, BlidimaX®carbody provides you with optimal protection against heat and cold while on the road. Transform your van into a cozy home, regardless of travel region or season.
